AI paywalls, cross-placement A/B tests, and a new age in mobile monetization. April updates are here

While the industry debated the future of monetization related to the latest news (we’ve got thoughts on that, keep reading), we’ve been busy shipping product updates to help you stay ahead. Here’s what’s new in Adapty

Meet AI paywall generator!

Put together paywalls without spending hours on design or layout decisions. Just drop your App Store link, and in a few seconds you’ll get 5 paywalls ready to test, edit, or publish.

Available now in your Paywall Builder.

Refund Saver got a major upgrade

We’ve shipped four big features to make Refund Saver even more powerful:

  • Retry-friendly refund mode. You can now choose a more user-friendly refund policy: decline the first refund request, and grant the second one automatically.
  • Consent-aware refunds. You can now define your refund policy on a per-user basis: opt-in or opt-out. Only process refunds for users who’ve explicitly opted in.
  • Individual refund preferences. Set and update refund behavior. Let users trigger a stricter refund policy based on their actions in the app.
  • Non-subscription support. Refund Saver now works with all types of in-app purchases, including consumables.

Cross-placement A/B tests

Run a single A/B test across multiple placements. Available for new users only, starting from SDK 3.5.0. Read the docs →

Adapty App is live

Monitor your key metrics on the go with the new Adapty mobile app. Download for iOS or Android.

It’s a big shift, so we’re getting into it live. Join our discussion to unpack what’s happening, and what you should (and shouldn’t) do next. Bring your questions. Join the session →

We’re already working on the next big thing. Until then, test boldly, grow smarter.

📈 Funnels load speed improved

Continuing our diligent work of improving the load speed of our analytics charts, this time we gave a boost to our Funnels dashboard, which now loads 20 times faster! Such an improvement now makes the work with segmenting and filtering much more efficient and convenient. Here are the results you are sure to appreciate:

  • The median request duration changed from an average of 2.5 seconds to about 100 milliseconds.
  • The 80th percentile figure jumped from an average of 9 seconds to around 400 milliseconds.

🌐 New in May: CDN for A/B testing and new metrics in Cohorts

We dedicated May to spring cleaning, releasing numerous minor improvements to make Adapty much more enjoyable. But there still were a few major ones:

ARPU and Installs in Cohorts. The Cohorts chart now includes ARPU and install numbers for each user cohort, making it easier to assess cohort significance at a glance. You can enable or disable the ARPU column in the Columns menu. These enhancements should help you easier make informed decisions about ad spend and marketing effectiveness.

CDN for paywall A/B testing. With Adapty SDK 2.11.0, the CDN used for caching paywalls is now also used in paywall A/B testing. It means the paywall variation is now assigned not on the Adapty server, but on the device, which should result in much quicker paywall loads. The use of CDN overall reduces paywall load times to 300-500 milliseconds (!), ensuring a seamless user experience even in regions with slower internet.

Stay tuned for more and hotter summer updates next month!

Event feed updates: error tracking and feed limit

Meet two Event feed updates, designed to enhance your data analysis experience and streamline the workflow.

🔍 Error tracking:
Now you can quickly identify in the dashboard if there is any error in the process of transferring data between the Adapty system and external integration. When an error occurs, you will notice red color in the Event Feed. Simply hover over the red event to see the type of error encountered. If an event is not highlighted like an error but has grey color it means that it is disabled and not sent.

🔍 Event display limit:
To optimize the speed and responsiveness of the Event feed, we will implement a limit on the number of events displayed. Moving forward, you will see data from the last two weeks in the Event feed. This change improves the loading speed of the page, allowing you to navigate and analyze your data more efficiently.

We value your feedback! If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to share.

New charts: ARPU, Installs, Non-subscriptions

We're excited to announce the addition of three new charts to Adapty analytics.

🟣 Average Revenue Per User (ARPU): You can gauge the overall revenue effectiveness of your app and identify trends or fluctuations in user spending patterns by observing how much you earn per user installation.

🟣 Installs: The number of installations can describe both your acquisition results and product opportunities, so it is definitely worth keeping an eye on.

🟣 Non-subscriptions: With this chart, you can track the number of purchased products that are not in the category of renewable subscriptions.

Please enjoy new perspectives on your data and let us know about your success.
